ASTU has announced that March 25, 2022, is the last date to apply for PhD admission for the session 2021-22. Candidates can apply for admission at Assam Science and Technology University in the following disciplines
- Civil Engineering
- Computer Science and Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Mathematics
- Chemistry
- Physics
- Pharmacy
- Business Administration
- Electronic and Communication Engineering
- Energy Engineering
- Water Resources management
Candidates will be shortlisted based on a written Entrance Test namely, the Research eligibility test (RET), followed by a personal interview. Applicants who have already cleared UGC-NET (including JRF)/UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF/SLET/GATE/GPAT/Teachers fellowship holder or have passed M. Phil programme is exempted from the Entrance Test.
But they will have to take part in the personal interview round for selection.
The admission test will be conducted in offline mode in the university (ASTU Campus) or any of the recognized centres of the affiliated colleges.
